Position Description
The Student Housing Student Office Assistant is an integral member of the Student Housing Department. Located on the University Center (UC) 5th floor in the center of campus, Student Housing Student Office Assistants are the face of the front desk and are often the primary connector between students, families and staff. Student Assistants are responsible for answering student and family questions regarding the on campus housing process via email, phone, and in person, in a welcoming and safe environment. Student Office Assistants are also responsible for providing a high level of customer service for all students, staff, and family members that may approach the front desk.

Time Commitment
Student Office Assistants are expected to be able to work a minimum of 6 hours a week with a maximum of 25 hours weekly when school is in session. When school is not in session, SOAs may work up to 35 hours per week. The Student Housing Department is open from 9AM-4PM Monday - Friday, in which staff are expected to provide availability. Student Office Assistants cannot work more than 7.5 hours per day and no more than 6 consecutive days. These hour restrictions include any other on-campus jobs a Student Assistant may have.
